In recent months, the OM Unit PMC has taken part in meetings with, and advocacy initiatives by, governmental, intergovernmental and private stakeholders, actively contributing to cross-sector efforts to fight competition manipulation.

Integriball 2.0

The Romanian Football Federation, together with the CSCF Foundation for Sport Integrity, hosted the Integriball 2.0 International Closing Conference on 21 October in Bucharest, marking the conclusion of a two-year, multi-country programme designed to protect youth and women footballers from match-fixing, harassment and bullying, while empowering them to report wrongdoing. The project was co-funded by the European Union.

More than 100 stakeholders from four continents attended, representing major institutions and organisations including the European Commission, the Council of Europe, the IOC, UEFA, INTERPOL and FIFPRO. The OM Unit PMC contributed with a dedicated presentation on its athlete-focused awareness-raising strategy, sharing lessons learned from its global engagement efforts and highlighting the importance of prevention in integrity protection.

SiGMA Europe Gaming Conference

Integrity challenges in the betting sector were also front and centre at the SiGMA Europe Gaming Conference, held on 4 and 5 November 2025. With regulators and operators from across the continent gathered at one forum, the OM Unit PMC joined the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) and International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) in a panel discussion that addressed current manipulation trends, investigative needs and the importance of enhanced data sharing. The Unit underlined that sharing account-based information remains essential for identifying suspicious betting behaviours and strengthening coordinated responses between betting operators, sports governing bodies and enforcement authorities.

Macolin Follow-Up Committee

The OM Unit PMC also joined the 11th meeting of the Follow-Up Committee to the Council of Europe’s Convention on the Manipulation of Sports Competitions (Macolin Convention) on 4 and 5 December in Strasbourg. During an update on its operational work to support the Olympic Movement, the OM Unit PMC also outlined its integrity preparedness plans ahead of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games. Other topics covered during the meeting centred on relevant guidelines on reasonable betting, data protection and how account-based information could be shared between betting entities and sports organisations. In addition, the Committee appointed a new Chair and Bureau for the new two-year term and discussed its priorities for the next cycle.

Greek National Platform, EPATHLA

Finally, the OM Unit PMC also participated in the annual event of the Greek National Platform, EPATHLA, on 12 December, presenting its capacity-building and awareness-raising programme and encouraging local sports organisations to engage further in relevant activities. Additionally, the OM Unit PMC contributed to a panel discussion as part of the 70th-anniversary celebration of the Hellenic National Committee’s Ethics Commission, providing an overview of the measures taken by the Olympic Movement to combat competition manipulation.
