New Resources
The IOC recently published three new sets of guidelines, which will support the implementation of stakeholder activities:
The Guidelines for Awareness-Raising Activities provide practical information for Olympic Movement stakeholders on how they can best implement an awareness-raising strategy and relevant activities.
The Guidelines on the Implementation of the Olympic Movement Code on the Prevention of the Manipulation of Competitions support implementation of the Code and provide in-depth information on specific points.
The Guidelines on the Sanctioning of Competition Manipulation focus on disciplinary bodies, offering a framework of sanctions that can be imposed based on the breach in question.
The Head of the OM Unit PMC, Friedrich Martens, had this to say about these new resources: “The aim of these guidelines is of a very pragmatic nature. We’d like to empower the key stakeholders of the Olympic Movement, who may have different levels of expertise in this important area, to walk the talk and really be a driver of change in their own environment and beyond.”
