International Forum for Sports Integrity 2021
The fourth edition of the IOC International Forum for Sports Integrity (IFSI) is set to take place on 9 November 2021, with the main focus to be on anti-corruption efforts through IPACS and the prevention of competition manipulation. The event will provide an important platform for exchanges between sports organisations, intergovernmental organisations such as the UNODC, OECD, Council of Europe and INTERPOL, as well as government representatives. It will be held in a hybrid format, enabling participants to attend either in person or virtually. The IPACS Steering Committee will meet the previous day, on 8 November.
The previous three editions of IFSI have always resulted in key outcomes, in particular in 2017 which saw the creation of the International Partnership Against Corruption in Sport (IPACS) and the Olympic Movement Unit on the Prevention of the Manipulation of Competitions (OM Unit PMC).
The discussions will further look to assess the work achieved in these two areas and plan the next steps with a view to strengthening the integrity of sports organisations and enhancing the protection of clean athletes.
