Sofía Arévalo Sierra
Sofía Arévalo Sierra is an active gymnast, cheerleader and gymnastics coach. A cancer survivor, she holds a degree in Sports Management and a Master’s in Therapeutic Personal Training. She collaborates with an association supporting Adolescents and Young Adults (AYAS) diagnosed with cancer, designing programmes that combine therapeutic sports routines with holistic support.
Sofía firmly believes in the healing power of sport. By connecting athletes with patients and creating safe, empowering spaces, she promotes physical recovery, resilience and well-being, while raising awareness of the role sport can play in health and inclusion.
Entre Causas is a social business that organises sporting events – primarily gymnastics and cheerleading tournaments – to raise funds and awareness for social campaigns. Each event supports a specific cause, with proceeds also funding a hospital programme that provides therapeutic personal training for patients with extended hospital stays, easing their recovery and improving their quality of life.
Since 2024, Entre Causas has gained strong support from local communities, the Vanuatu Tourism Office and NAOYA, a local sporting enterprise. In 2025, the initiative will host a promotional event in February and an international competition in October, strengthening its reach and impact while positioning sport as a powerful vehicle for social change and health equity.
