Kamil Pavlinský

IOC Young Leader Bio:
An IOC Young Leader from 2021 to 2024, Kamil Pavlinský is a beach volleyball player and coach with a strong passion for sport as a tool for education and inclusion. He has also served as a European Young Olympic Ambassador, preparing activities focused on the Olympic values for young athletes at the European Youth Olympic Festivals.
Based in Prague, Kamil works with the Czech Olympic Committee on the organisation of major multi-sport events. His belief that sport is for everyone has been the driving force behind his project, Šanca Športovať (Sport Chance).
Project: Šanca Športovať (Sport Chance)
During his term, Kamil created Šanca Športovať to provide sports opportunities for underprivileged children, particularly those from orphanages and socially disadvantaged families. The project organises OLY-BEACH camps that combine beach volleyball training with educational activities centred on the Olympic values.
By learning a new sport and embracing values such as friendship, well-being and respect, children gain both skills and confidence in a safe, supportive environment. By 2024, Šanca Športovať had organised six camps in Czechia and Slovakia, reaching more than 150 children.
Looking forward, the project also explored models for sustainability, including regular training sessions for motivated participants and OLY-BEACH team-building events for companies to generate revenue. In doing so, Šanca Športovať demonstrated how sport can create inclusive opportunities and inspire healthier, more resilient communities.
