IOC Young Leader Bio:

An IOC Young Leader from 2021 to 2024, Jessie Niles is a former member of the Canadian women’s national volleyball team who now works as a data analytics professional in sports business. She is passionate about creatively using technology and the athlete voice to promote health, lifelong learning and global community.

Project: Ready in Five

During her term, Jessie created Ready in Five, an online platform that connects high-performance athletes with businesses and schools to lead five minutes of live movement during virtual meetings and classes. These short, interactive sessions brought energy, wellness and a sense of connection into digital environments, while helping participants stay active.

At the same time, Ready in Five supported athletes’ careers by providing flexible, paid opportunities aligned with their training schedules. By linking health promotion with athlete livelihoods, the project successfully demonstrated how sport can contribute to both well-being and decent work in today’s digital world.
