IOC Young Leader Bio:
An IOC Young Leader from 2021 to 2024, Corentin Caporal is a Sports Rights Manager for a Spanish sports audiovisual company, connecting fans with live sporting events from around the globe. A committed advocate for diversity and inclusion, he works to amplify the voices of those often underrepresented and marginalised in sport.
He also contributes to the Olympic Movement as a member of the IOC Digital Engagement and Marketing Communication Commission.
Project: To Be Sport
During his time as a Young Leader, Corentin founded To Be Sport, a social initiative designed to make sports volunteering more accessible, inclusive and diverse. The project addressed barriers such as financial, social and educational constraints that often prevent underprivileged youth from engaging in the sports workforce.
Through its tailored Changemakers programme and its Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) consultancy, To Be Sport supported event organisers in developing and delivering volunteering opportunities at major sporting events. By offering orientation, training and financial assistance, the project enabled young people from underrepresented communities to gain valuable skills, experience belonging and access pathways to future careers in sport.
