IOC Young Leader Bio

Camila Tauil is a Brazilian architect and urban planner who is passionate about designing healthier and more inclusive cities through sport. She is the founder of Sport on Site (Esporte In Loco), a social project that activates public spaces such as streets, parks and urban areas by engaging children and adolescents – with and without disabilities – in sport and physical activity.

Building on her experience as a volunteer team leader at Paris 2024, Camila uses her skills in architecture and urban planning to reimagine urban environments where sport fosters equity, health and social transformation. Through her IOC Young Leaders journey, she aims to expand access to safe and inclusive spaces where communities can thrive together.

Project: Sport on Site / Esporte In Loco

Sport on Site transforms underutilised public spaces into inclusive environments where children and adolescents, especially those with disabilities, can participate in adapted sports and physical activities. In São Paulo’s Ruas de Lazer (car-free leisure streets), the project equips volunteers from health and physical education sectors with portable resources to lead weekly sessions.

By turning everyday streets into hubs for recreation and belonging, the initiative promotes equal access to sport, raises awareness of disability inclusion, and strengthens social cohesion within urban communities.
