Worldwide Olympic Partner Alibaba’s “To the Greatness of HER” campaign wins double gold

Paris 2024 was the first Olympic Games to achieve gender parity, thanks to the distribution of an equal number of quota places to female and male athletes. In celebration of this historic achievement, Alibaba, in collaboration with the IOC, launched a special short film dedicated to the evolution of women’s sport throughout the history of the Olympic Games. Entitled “To the Greatness of HER”, it features pioneering athletes such as IOC Member Nawal El Moutawakel from Morocco, the first woman from an Islamic nation to win an Olympic medal, and China’s Zhang Shan, who made history at the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games by winning gold in the mixed-gender skeet shooting event.
