Organised by the International Olympic Truce Foundation (IOTC), the Imagine Peace Youth Camp was held in the Republic of Korea for several years, with the support of the PyeongChang 2018 Legacy Foundation. The three-day camp brings together approximately 100 young people from around the world from different cultural and political backgrounds and comprises education workshops, sports activities and lectures given by IOTC and Olympic peace experts.

The camp aims to promote equality and peace and explore sport’s role in peaceful conflict resolution. It was last held in PyeongChang in 2022, at Phoenix Snow Park.

The PyeongChang 2018 sports camps, which are also run by the PyeongChang 2018 Legacy Foundation, offer sports experience programmes, Olympic values education programmes and other sports activities to thousands of young people every year. These three-day gatherings, which demonstrate the positive role of sport in society, take place at PyeongChang 2018 competition venues such as the Alpensia Sliding Centre, the Gangneung Speed Skating Oval and the Gangneung Ice Hockey Arena.

Since 2020, over 35,000 students aged 10 to 18 have tried their hand at sports at the Olympic venues, learned about the Olympic and Paralympic values and taken part in cultural experiences. In getting a taste of winter sport, participants try two different sports a day and have the chance to meet retired Korean athletes.

Finally, the PyeongChang Olympic Values School Visit programme is an initiative launched in 2015 that aims to engage with young people in the Republic of Korea by taking winter sports to schools and teaching positive values through sport. The initiative was updated in 2019 and continues to promote the Olympic values and the legacy of PyeongChang 2018 to the country’s schoolchildren.
