Such events include the Winter Universiade (in 2007), the Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships (2008), the European Athletics Indoor Championships (2009), the World Masters Games (2013), the 2014 UEFA Europa League final, the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship and the 2019 European Masters Games.

Turin was designated the 2015 European City of Sport and continues to attract major entertainment events given that some of its venues are owned or managed by world leaders in the production and organisation of concerts and shows, such as Live Nation and GL Events Group.
